Ex-PCB chairman On India Pak Series: No series has been played for almost 10 years. The political tension between the two countries is responsible for this. However, it is being said that in recent times, the Pakistan Cricket Board had shown interest in playing the series with India, but the BCCI said that we will accept permission from the Government of India for this. If permission is given from the government then it will be considered for playing. The last bilateral series between India and Pakistan was played in the year 2012-13. At that time the Pakistani cricket team toured India. But since then no series has been played between the two countries. However, both the teams have been facing each other in ICC tournaments.

‘I never spread my hand in front of BCCI’

Meanwhile, former PCB chief Ehsan Mani has given a big statement on the India-Pakistan series. He said that he never raised his hand in front of the BCCI for the India-Pakistan series during his tenure. At the same time, he said that I have always believed that if there is a series between India and Pakistan, then India will have to come forward. Ehsan Mani said that I always said that if India wants to play cricket with Pakistan, then they should come and play. Let us inform that Ehsan Mani was the head of PCB till September 2021. After him, Rameez Raja took over as the 36th chairman of the PCB.

‘Our Integrity and Sovereignty as a Nation’

Former PCB chief Ehsan Mani said that I never refused for India-Pakistan series. But we have integrity and sovereignty as a nation. That’s why we ran after him to play the series against India. When India is ready to play cricket with us, we will be ready. It is worth noting that PCB chief Rameez Raja made a proposal in the ICC meeting. It was said in this proposal that a T20 tournament should be organized between India, Pakistan, Australia and England. At the same time, Rameez Raja has always been lobbying for the India-Pakistan series. He believes that there may be political tension between the two countries, but there should be a cricket match. This will benefit the boards of both the countries.
