A lawyer has filed a petition in Colombo Court demanding the arrest of 7 people including the former Prime Minister. The lawyer has said in the petition that the CID should be ordered immediately to arrest 7 people including former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

In fact, former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is accused of instigating his supporters to attack peaceful protests. More than 100 people were seriously injured in this clash. At the same time, in view of this violent atmosphere, the army took the front and orders were given to shoot them. Significantly, due to the economic crisis, Mahinda Rajapaksa had to resign from the post of Prime Minister.
