Russia- Ukraine War: India’s claim in UNSC meeting- "No one will win in the Russo-Ukraine war"

UNSC Meetings: India told the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Thursday that neither side will win in the Russo-Ukraine war. Emphasizing on the immediate evacuation of innocent civilians from the areas of fierce fighting, he said that “diplomacy” would be the last casualty in this war.

At the UNSC meeting on Ukraine, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations TS Tirumurti made it clear that India is in favor of peace. “Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, India has been continuously calling for the complete end of hostilities and the path of dialogue and diplomacy to get out of it,” he said.

Millions of people became homeless

Tirumurti said, “However, the war has led to the loss of lives and innumerable miseries, especially to women, children and the elderly, leaving crores of people homeless. They have been forced to take refuge in neighboring countries. He said, “India is in favor of peace and therefore believes that there will be no victorious side in this war. Those affected by the war will continue to suffer and diplomacy will be its final casualty.

Strongly condemn the killing of civilians in the city of Bucha

Tirumurti stressed that India strongly condemned the killing of civilians in Ukraine’s Bucha city and supported the call for an independent investigation into the matter. He said that New Delhi also supports all efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people of Ukraine.
