Irfan Pathan 2022 T20 World Cup India XI, Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik: The 2022 T20 World Cup is to be played in Australia later this year. The biggest question before this tournament is Dinesh Karthik or Rishabh Pant, who will get a place in the World Cup team. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has selected India’s playing XI for the T20 World Cup.

Irfan Pathan did not give place to Rishabh Pant

The former all-rounder has not included Rishabh Pant in India’s playing XI for the 2022 T20 World Cup. Pant is struggling to score runs continuously. Even in the five-match series against South Africa, he could score only 58 runs. Earlier, Pant had scored only 33 runs in the three-match series against New Zealand. Pant has not been able to do wonders in T20 Internationals so far.

Dinesh Karthik got the place

Irfan Pathan has included 37-year-old Dinesh Karthik in Team India’s playing XI for the T20 World Cup to be played in Australia. Karthik has returned to Team India after three years from the South Africa series. Karthik scored his first half-century in T20 Internationals after his return.

Rahul-Rohit opener is such a bowling department

Irfan Pathan has selected KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma as openers. At the same time, Virat Kohli is at number three and Suryakumar Yadav is at number four. Apart from this, there are Ravindra Jadeja, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah in the bowling.

However, surprisingly, Irfan Pathan has not included star players like Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Venkatesh Iyer and Ishan Kishan in the World Cup squad.

Irfan Pathan’s Playing XI for 2022 T20 World Cup: KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah.
