Dravid credited the IPL for improving many young bowlers to play for the Indian team in the years to come. Dravid said, “It was unbelievable to see the fast bowling talent we have (during the IPL), especially some bowlers bowling fast. A lot of youngsters got a chance to show their skills, and a lot of them came out good. Those are really good signs for Indian cricket in the times to come.” Former India pacer Pathan backed Malik for his place in the ICC T20 World Cup squad.
