KKR vs RR Match: Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was upset with the umpire’s decision in the match played against Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday. In the match, Rajasthan Royals bowler famous Krishna bowled the 19th over. In his over, wide balls were given by the umpire, on which questions are being raised. Actually, KKR’s batsman Rinku Singh was batting. On Krishna’s ball, he moved towards the off-side, but the ball and the bat could not contact. However, the umpire called it a wide ball.
Captain Sanju Samson expressed surprise at the decision of the umpire and decided to take DRS. However, this decision did not go in his favor, as there is no such rule that can change the decision of calling on field wide from DRS. Samson maintained restraint during this time.
Samson must have known that the wide won’t be reviewed. Might have been to send a message of sorts.

It was time for a Thala walk, but Samson was already on the field. #IPL

Unsporting manners by Samson, challenging umpires’ decision of wide! Making undue appeals of caught behind. Wide are wide

Horrible umpiring throughout the game right from Samson’s lbw call in the first innings. Prasidh bowled really well, would’ve been a tight game. Unfortunate for RR. And pleeaasee, reviews should be allowed for all on-field decisions, not just outs. Amendment needed badly.

Just imagine what if Virat Kohli would be inplace of Sanju Samson. Sigh.🙁
Should appreciate sanju’s calmness, still smiled at it and moved on.— Ashwini/ಅಶ್ವಿನ(KP Navgire STAN) (@AshuCric07) May 2, 2022
