Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal recently made a disclosure related to Symonds. Chahal had told that when he was part of Mumbai Indians, he was hanged by a player from the 15th floor. This was not the first time that Chahal was subjected to such abuse while in Mumbai. Recently, in the RCB podcast, Chahal recalled an incident naming Australia’s Andrew Symonds and James Franklin. Chahal had told that both these players tied my hands and feet and put tape on my mouth and left it overnight.

Yuzvendra Chahal had told, ‘It was after winning the Champions League in a hotel in Chennai in 2011. Symonds drank a lot of ‘fruit juice’, only I was with him. James Franklin and Symonds tied my hands and feet and said – now you have to open.’ ‘Both were in so much fun that they put tape on my mouth and then forgot. The party was over and in the morning when a sweeper came, he saw me and rescued me. He asked how long I have been here like this and I told him, ‘Raat se hi’.
