Rishabh Pant Record Delhi Capitals IPL 2022: A special achievement was added to the name of Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant. He has completed 4000 runs in T20 cricket. Pant achieved this position in the match played between Delhi and Rajasthan Royals. His team Delhi defeated Rajasthan by 8 wickets in this match. After the dismissal of Mitchell Marsh during the match, Pant hit two sixes in the over of leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, in which he remained unbeaten on 13 runs off four balls.

He completed 4004 runs in 154 T20 matches at an average of 33.09 and strike rate of 146.55, including two centuries and 22 half-centuries. Earlier, Marsh made a 62-ball 89 and led the innings with opener David Warner. Warner remained unbeaten on 52 off 41 balls. There was a partnership of 144 runs for the second wicket between the two batsmen. At the same time, Delhi won the match by eight wickets.

Pant said after the match, “The players played well in the match and I believe there is always room for improvement in cricket. There is some problem of scoring runs on these kind of wickets, but the players should not break their morale.” I am happy that we bowled first. I thought 140-160 was a good score on this pitch, which the team got easily.”

Pant had said that Delhi is missing opener Prithvi Shaw, who is hospitalized due to fever. Delhi has got 12 points with this win, which is present in fifth place. The team will now take on Punjab Kings at the DY Patil Stadium on Monday and keep their playoff hopes alive.

The franchise has congratulated Pant through their official Twitter handle. The team wrote, “Congratulations to Pant for completing 4000 runs in the T20 league.”
