Mike Hesson On Virat Kohli: The 15th season of the Indian Premier League is passing no less than a nightmare for former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli’s bat is not getting runs this season. He was also out on the first ball thrice. At the same time, he was able to score 40+ only twice. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s director of cricket Mike Hesson’s reaction to Kohli’s poor form has come to the fore.

Mike Hesson said that Kohli’s poor form in IPL 2022 continues, but technically he appears to be in good touch. He feels that a big innings is going to come soon from the bat of Virat Kohli. Let us tell you that while chasing a huge target of 210 runs on Friday, Kohli failed to capitalize on a good start and in the fourth over, Kagiso Rabada was dismissed for 20 runs in 14 balls.

Hesson further said, “Virat Kohli is the best player for RCB. He is an incredible player. Yes, he has not scored enough runs this season. But I am sure he will play a big innings soon. He played the match against Punjab. I got off to a good start, but he failed to carry on with his innings.” Hesson said that Kohli has been unlucky, which means he is getting out in the wrong way and that is why we lost by 54 runs.

Kohli’s average is less than 20

In the 13 matches of IPL 2022, Virat Kohli has so far scored just 236 runs at an average of 19.67 and a strike rate of 113.46. This season he has been out for a golden duck thrice. At the same time, his highest score was 58 runs. This is the worst season of Kohli’s IPL career. Earlier, he had scored 307 runs in his first IPL season i.e. IPL 2010 at an average of 27.90.
