CSK vs SRH: Only after becoming the captain of MS Dhoni, the team of Chennai (CSK) has once again returned to its winning path. After this, team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has praised the batting of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway. Mahi left the captaincy at the beginning of this season. After which the command of the team was handed over to Ravindra Jadeja.

After this the performance of the team was not very special and the team won only two matches. After which Jadeja was criticized a lot. Meanwhile, last week the team’s managers declared Dhoni as the captain again. Dhoni took the responsibility of captaincy again and registered his first win by 13 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Openers showed their strength

Dhoni said that the team’s opening pair played very well against Hyderabad, which helped the team win the match. He further said, “I think the team’s score was good. We have not made any changes in the team. When you are in the same dressing room, you keep saying the same thing, it is not like when you are the captain. When you change, many things change.”

Jadeja had enough time

Dhoni confirmed that Jadeja knew only last season that he would lead the team in IPL 2022 and got enough time to prepare. The veteran cricketer said that in the first few games he was guiding Jadeja, but later he took all the decisions himself. Once you become the captain, we have to take care of a lot of things and that includes your own game.

He said, “I felt that the captaincy was affecting his game because I would love to see Jadeja as a bowler, batsman and a fielder.”
