Wayne Parnell India vs South Africa 2nd T20 Cuttack: A five match T20 series is being played between India and South Africa. Team India had to face defeat in the first match of the series. While the second match will be played in Cuttack on Sunday. Before this match, South African all-rounder Wayne Parnell gave a statement about the mental state of the players of his team. He told why it has become necessary to prepare the players mentally after IPL 2022.

South Africa’s star players were a part of the IPL that ended ahead of the ongoing T20I series and team pacer Wayne Parnell said it would be a challenge to keep him mentally prepared during the five matches. David Miller, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Rasi van der Dussen and Enrich Norkia played in the IPL. However, the way the visiting team defeated India in the first ODI in Delhi, it showed no sign of fatigue.

Parnell said before the second T20, “It will be important to keep him fresh and ready for matches, 10-12 weeks in the ‘bio-bubble’ in the IPL was enough. Keeping the players mentally prepared will be important for us.

In the first match at Kotla, 32-year-old Parnell made a comeback in T20 after more than five years. He played his last competitive match in March. He said, “It is always an honor to be a part of the national team. It certainly feels very different to be back in this group. It’s wonderful to be here.”

He expects India to come back strongly on Sunday. Parnell said, “I think this match will be very important. India will definitely come back, their team is fantastic. We don’t expect less than this.

He said, “I think every match till Bengaluru will be very difficult. Obviously the win in the first match was great, it has given us a lot of confidence but this is a new venue, there will be new conditions so we need to adapt.
