Harbhajan on selection of Dinesh Karthik in T20 World Cup: Team India’s experienced batsman Dinesh Karthik has staked his claim before the T20 World Cup. He is seen in the role of finisher for Bangalore in IPL. He has done a great job in this role so far. After which now Harbhajan Singh has also come out in his support. He believes that Karthik should definitely get a place in the T20 World Cup.

‘I would definitely give him a chance in the team’

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has said that if he were India’s selector, he would definitely give Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Dinesh Karthik a chance in the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in Australia later this year.

Karthik has been an impressive finisher for Bangalore in IPL 2022. He has scored 274 runs in 12 matches at an average of 68.50 and a strike rate of 200. Karthik is working hard to make a comeback in the Indian team in this year’s World Cup.

‘He deserves a place in the team’

Harbhajan said, Dinesh Karthik has been a great player for RCB. He is very good at leg side shots as compared to his off side. But I think overall he understands his game very well.

Harbhajan further said, for me if anyone has played the best role of finisher in this entire IPL, it is Dinesh Karthik. If I was a selector, I would have given him a chance in Australia for the T20 World Cup. He deserves it as India’s wicketkeeper and batsman.

‘Hardik and Karthik can make a pair’

When asked about his choice as a finisher for the Indian team in the World Cup, Harbhajan feels that Hardik Pandya could be a great pairing with Karthik to finalize the innings. Bangalore head coach Sanjay Bangar said in an episode of the RCB show that Karthik has been helping the young players in the team apart from constantly finishing roles for the team.
