Tabraiz Shamsi On IPL: The matches of IPL 2022 season are on. This season many new players impressed with their performance. Apart from Indian players, foreign players like Jos Buttler and Vanendu Hasaranga have performed brilliantly. Jos Buttler is this highest run-scorer, while Vanendu Hasaranga has taken 23 wickets so far. Hasranga is the joint number one with Chahal in the list of highest wicket-takers. Vanendu Hasaranga’s performance in the last few years has been excellent. Apart from Vanendu Hasranga, Tabrez Shamsi was also included in the list of bowlers who took the highest wickets in the year 2021. But despite this, Shamsi did not find any buyer in the IPL Mega Auction.

‘I didn’t get too many chances in IPL’

South African bowler Tabrez Shamsi was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from the year 2016-18. At the same time, Rajasthan Royals (RR) included Shamsi in their team as a replacement for Andrew Toy. But that season Shamsi got a chance to play only 1 match for Rajasthan Royals (RR). Now this South African bowler has given a big statement. He said that he did not get too many chances in the IPL, if he had got enough chances, he could have played a big role in winning the trophy for any team. He further said that I am not bothered by this, but sometimes I think. I love playing in IPL. Also, I have a lot of confidence in my abilities.

‘I proved that I am a match winner’

Tabrez Shamsi said that as a player there should be enough opportunities to show his abilities. However, at the beginning of my career this could not happen. Because Imran Tahir was in the team at that time, due to this I was not getting many opportunities. But when Imran Tahir retired, I started getting opportunities continuously. After that I showed that I can win matches for the team. At the same time, I became the number-1 bowler. Statistics show that Tabrez Shamsi has performed brilliantly in the last few years. He has taken 57 wickets in 47 T20 matches so far.
