Deaflympics 2022: Dhanush Srikkanth targets gold in deaf Olympics, Shaurya Saini wins bronze

Dhanush Srikanth and Shourya Saini in Deaflympics 2022: India has got great success in the ongoing 24th Deaflympics Olympics in Brazil. Dhanush Srikanth won the gold medal in the 10m air rifle shooting event here. Along with him, Shaurya Saini has also targeted Bronze in this event.

There was a final match between eight players in the 10m air rifle shooting event on the third day of the Deaf Olympics. In this, Dhanush won the gold with a record score of 247.5. South Korea’s Kim Woo finished second with a score of 246.6, while India’s Shaurya Saini finished third with a score of 224.3.

Former Olympic medalist shooter Gagan Narang has saluted Dhanush and Shaurya for this historic victory. He wrote in a tweet, ‘When two Indian flags are waving together on the podium, then nothing can be a better filling than this. Dhanush and bravery you have made the whole of India proud. Salute to your enthusiasm, passion and hard work.

India also got gold in badminton
India has also got gold in the badminton team event in this deaf Olympics. The Indian team defeated Japan 3-1 in the final to win the gold here. Currently, the Indian team is at the eighth position in the medal table with two gold and one bronze. Here Ukraine is at number one with 19 gold, 6 silver and 13 bronze.
