Continuous selling dominates the stock market, Sensex-Nifty closed in the red mark, good buying in banking stocks

Stock Market Closing: Selling has been seen in the stock market for the third consecutive day. After today’s trading, both the Sensex and Nifty indices have closed in the red mark. After today’s trading session, the Sensex slipped 276.46 points, or 0.51 per cent, to close at 54,088.39. Apart from this, the Nifty index has closed at the level of 16,167.10, down 72.95 points or 0.45 percent.

Growth in private banking sector
After today’s trading, 10 of the top-30 stocks of the Sensex have closed in the green. Apart from this, the decline in 20 stocks has dominated. Today good buying has been seen in the private banking sector. Axis Bank closed at the level of 676 with a gain of 2.55 percent. Shares of Axis Bank has been the top gainer today.

Apart from Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, HDFC, Kotak Bank, SBI, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and M&M also closed with gains.

Apart from this, today LT has been the top loser in the list of declining stocks. LT shares closed down 2.12 per cent. Apart from this, many stocks including Bajaj Finserv, NTPC, Bajaj Finance, Maruti, Power Grid, ITC, Infosys, Reliance, Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, HCL Tech, Dr Reddy, TCS, Wipro have seen major declines.

Which sectors were booming?
A mixed business has been seen in the sectoral index today. After today’s trading, Nifty Bank, Financial Services, Nifty Metal, Nifty Metal, Private Bank, Realty and Oil and Gas sectors have closed in the green.

Apart from this, Consumer Durable, Healthcare, PSU Bank, Pharma, Media, IT, FMCG and Nifty Auto sectors closed with a fall.
