Explosions are happening continuously in Afghanistan

Quoting a spokesman for the Kabul police, Afghan media outlets said that several people were killed and several were injured in the blast. One such case came to light on Thursday, where five Taliban members and a civilian were killed in an IED blast in the Spin Boldak district of Afghanistan. Earlier on June 6, there was an explosion in Police District-4 of Kabul with explosives kept on a bicycle.

Questions raised on Taliban claim
The Taliban have been claiming that they have secured the country since taking power in August last year, but international agencies and analysts have been questioning the Taliban’s claim. International analysts say terrorism remains at risk of a resurgence in Afghanistan and the Islamic State militant group has claimed several major attacks.
